Notices

(To get notices on this page please email notices@bradfordwest.church – we can’t promise to put all on – but will do our best!)

Christenings and BBQ

This Sunday we will be welcoming three new lives into God’s family.  Afterwards we will be having a bring and share lunch.  The Church will supply bread and salad – can you please bring fresh meat to BBQ – or vegetables if you’re not a meat eater? Please bring it ready to cook – we can’t defrost it – nor will we be able to prepare it – there will be no time!

Please pray for:

Bethrand & Jecinta with Favour
Paul & Lynda with Mercy
Chiemeka & Nancy with Amaara

Around the Parish through the Week

A reminder of what we get up to on a weekly basis – don’t forget there is something going on around the Parish almost every day.

The summer holidays are nearly at an end so to celebrate the end of the summer we are going to gather at St Pauls on Tuesday 27th August for a Cream tea. All are welcome.

Christmas Planning

Yes – it is that time again.  We’re always open to rethinking how we celebrate the birth of Jesus!  If you want to come and talk/pray about how to communicate this wonderful message to the Parish please come to St Paul’s on 18th September at 7.30pm.

Love Girlington

Do you live in Girlington? Have a heart for the people of that area? Desire to see God’s Kingdom come in that part of our parish?  If so, you are warmly invited to join a new group meeting each Thursday evening at St Philips Church 7:30pm. We will sing, pray and seek God’s blessing on Girlington.

Philippa Hanna

On Friday 20th September 2024, Bradford Cathedral welcomes Philippa Hanna. Philippa’s show combines worship, testimony and storytelling and is perfect for all stages of the faith journey.  For those who are on Facebook, there is also a Facebook event which you can invite people to, if you are able. Tickets can be booked here.

Giving

There are many in our parish who regularly give to the church through a Direct Debit to our bank account. If you do – firstly thank you so much for your generosity! As we mentioned in the APCM it would be a great help if you transferred across to using the Parish Giving Scheme. As charity rules, tax claims etc become more complicated it is increasingly becoming a big task to claim back the 20% we can get on top of your gift. Joining the Parish Giving Scheme makes it all so much easier for us – and easier for you too!

Also don’t forget that if you give on the card machine as long as your gift is £30 or under we can claim 25% back on that too!
