World Curry Festival

Our Scones and Samosas cooking group was invited to take part in The World Curry Festival in 2015 and 2016.  In 2015 we ran a stall at the event in Lister Park.  Our volunteer Saima led a pakora making workshop and we sold cakes, scones and samosas.  We decorated our stall and put some chairs outside to make a small café area.  Our stall was really busy and we enjoyed the day!  In 2016 the curry festival was held in different locations around Bradford, St Paul’s Church was one of the locations.  We set up our Scones and Samosas stall in the church and welcomed visitors to enjoy afternoon tea with a twist in the church.  A well known Pakistani TV chef visited us for the afternoon and led some workshops with children from the local primary school.
