In 2015 Our Knit Together group yarn bombed Lister Park. This involved covering lamp posts, benches, sign posts….and anything else in knitting/crocheted sections. We advertised the project at local community groups and in the T&A, lots of people were keen to be involved and some even posted knitting to us! We held two community events where people could bring their knitting or come and make pom poms to hang from the trees. The yarn bombing was in place for one weekend, lots of people asked about the project and a couple of new people came to Knit Together through it.
