Sunday 5th February 2023 – Salt and Light- International Communion

 

This Sunday we’ve got our International Communion and Sunday School at 10:30am at St Paul’s Church.

We’ll be continuing to think about Jesus’ most famous sermon- the Sermon on the Mount as we consider what it means to be Salt and Light in the world. Our Bible reading will be the Beatitudes from Matthew 5:13-16

Sunday 29th January 2023 – The Beatitudes- Juicy

This Sunday we’re meeting all together for our ‘Juicy’ service, where we do things a bit differently! We try to break up our traditional style of church and use our building in different ways.  We’re meeting at 10:30am at St Paul’s Church.

We’ll be starting our series on the Sermon on the Mount in the run-up to Lent, and our Bible reading will be the Beatitudes from Matthew 5:1-12

Sunday 8th January 2023 – I AM the Great I AM

This Sunday we’re meeting together for Breakfast Church in the morning, 10:30am at St Paul’s Church.

And we’ll be thinking about the final of our ‘I am’ statements where Jesus says ‘I am, I am’. Our Bible reading will be taken from John 8.

On Sunday evening we have our monthly Prayer and Praise service at St Philip’s Church at 7pm where we will be thinking about the same theme.

This is the week our service isn’t live-streamed- sorry!

This means there is something happening in one of our Churches every day of the week, Mon-Fri, do ask us if you want to get involved with any of those.

Sunday 25th December 2022 – Christmas Day!

This Sunday is Christmas Day!!! We’ll be meeting all together, to share the joy of Christmas together. An all age service with lots of fun!

We’ll be thinking about how the wise men came and worshipped the baby Jesus, the King of Kings! Our Bible reading will be from Matthew 2:11 another short passage full of joy!

Bonfire and Brass Band

Friday 23rd December (Tomorrow!) – 4.30pm, St Barnabas Village Hall
This will be about an hour long – carols, hot chocolate and glow sticks etc.  For the whole community.  Please come along and bring a neighbour!
It is currently forecast as quite wet – so we’ll be inside if so – please be assured you’ll only get wet if you choose to go outside.

Bethlehem Communion

Christmas Eve- Saturday 24th December- 9pm, St Philips

Join us at St Philip’s, Girlington as we worship together, share Holy Communion and welcome in Christmas Day (in Bethlehem) with one another!

 

Christmas Day All Age Communion

Christmas Day- Sunday 25th December- 10:30am, St Paul’s

This Sunday is our Breakfast Church as we continue to look at the Christmas Story in the build up to Christmas.

This week we’ll be thinking about how there was no room for Mary and Joseph on arrival in Bethlehem, looking at Luke 2:7 a short passage – but one of the most famous in history!

We don’t Live stream our Breakfast Church – but come along instead of watching from home.
