Welcome to the new Church year. This Sunday is the first Sunday of Advent – we will begin to prepare for Christmas in our readings, singing and preaching.

Bonfire and Carols
Saturday 9th of December at 5pm we will be having a bonfire again at St Barnabas Village Hall

Here are our services and what we’re up to around the Parish
Churches Together Advent Service – Thursday 7th December 2023 – 7pm
The Girlington, Heaton & Manningham Council of Churches (GHMCC) are holding their Advent Service at First Martyrs’ Church, Heights Lane, Heaton, BD9 6HZ.
United Service for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity
Will be at Bradford Cathedral at 6pm on Sunday 21st January.
The theme for this service is: “Be-Longing: Praying for Unity amidst Injustice” and is an attempt to explore how Christian Unity might contribute to the promotion of justice across all levels of society, particularly this year, the 30th anniversary of the murder of Stephen Lawrence, concentrating on racial justice.
