Sunday 4th July 2021 – Heroes of the Old Testament (When God calls ordinary People)

This Sunday we begin a new series at St Philip’s Church at 11am.  It is called “Heroes of the Old Testament” (When God calls ordinary People).  Over the next few months we will look at the well known stories of Noah, Sarah, Joseph, Moses, Joshua, Deborah, Gideon, Daniel, Esther, David and Ruth.

This week we start with Noah. The service will be livestreamed as usual – also prayer will be at 10am before the service in the church – you can also join on Zoom with those praying at the church.  Both at the usual link:

Please continue to pray for the advert and interview process.  We hope to be able to fill the vacant post of associate vicar as soon as possible. The Job advert is available here – please share it widely!

NHS Big Tea Party

5th July is the 73rd birthday of the NHS! People across the UK will be hosting tea parties to honour this and to raise money for NHS Charities.

On Wednesday 7th July after the 10.30am Communion service at St Barnabas you are invited to one such tea party to raise a cuppa to our beloved and brilliant NHS.
