Sunday 27th August 2023 – Proclaiming With… Mary- All Age Communion

This week we are gathering together at 10:30am at St Paul’s Church for our All Age Parish Communion service.

We are continuing with our sermon series ‘Proclaiming With’ and this week we are making our way into the New Testament, proclaiming with Mary ‘The Mighty One has done Great Things for Me’. Our Scripture reading will be Mary’s famous song, known as the Magnificat, from Luke 1:46-55

(To get notices on this page please email  – we can’t promise to put all on – but will do our best!)

Funeral of Alan Bean

A long term member of St Paul’s Church died last week.  Alan’s funeral service will be at St Paul’s at 2pm on Friday 1st September 2023 – afterwards there will be some refreshments and then the committal at Nab Wood Crematorium at 3.40.

Over the coming months we are focusing on famous proclamations of faith in the Bible.  To match it we’d love to hear stories from you!

Does anyone have a story about when………

a) Speak for Jesus in a public place? (work/school)

b) How you became a Christian

There are many in our parish who regularly give to the church through a Direct Debit to our bank account. If you do – firstly thank you so much for your generosity! It would be a great help though if you transferred across to using the Parish Giving Scheme. As charity rules, tax claims etc become more complicated it is increasingly becoming a big task to claim back the 20% we can get on top of your gift. Joining the Parish Giving Scheme makes it all so much easier for us – and easier for you too! Please speak to Zarine if you want to know more about it – or click the links!
