Bradford Cathedral’s Ascension Day service – Thursday 9th May 2024 (7pm)

Volunteers Required for An Exciting New Project at Bevan – Health and Wellbeing
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who what to volunteer and make a difference with us at Bevan. Are you able to connect with others facing similar challenges or can you share your expertise, experiences, and skills.
Your Space is a weekly multi-agency drop-in that runs every Wednesday from 9.30am to 12.30 at Bevan. It’s a service that offers advice and information in a welcoming environment for those people seeking asylum in Bradford.
We are looking for volunteers from diverse backgrounds to help in the delivery of the drop-ins; individuals who can carry out the following roles:
1. Administrators – will include welcoming and registering people on arrival and making sure they are in the right place for advice and guidance
2. Advisors – using your firsthand knowledge of the challenges and barriers faced by those seeking asylum, help individuals understand how to use digital health tools effectively
3. Translators – Do you speak Arabic, Kurdish, Farsi, Dari, or Pashtu? Helping to ensure that messages are accurately conveyed.
4. Signposting to services – connecting people with the resources they need
