We meet together on Sunday at 10:30am at St Paul’s Church. And we will be continuing our sermon series Proclaiming With… as we explore what God’s people throughout the Bible have said about God and we ask ourselves ‘What have I learned about who God is that I want to tell people about?’

This Sunday we are joining with Shadrach, Meshach & Abednego as they proclaim that the God we serve is able to save us! Our Scripture reading will be from Daniel 3:9-30

Our CofE Like

From 14th-20th August Emma will be in charge of the ‘Our CofE’ Twitter account- sharing a week in the life of our parish from the Curate’s perspective! This means she’ll be taking lots of photos throughout the week and sharing the range of different things we do as a parish. If you don’t want to be in any photos which go on social media, chat to Emma and she’ll make sure to avoid you!

Licensed Lay Minister

Angela Chorlton has completed all the academic side of the Licensed Lay Minister course.  There was a commissioning 2 weeks ago – she won’t be licensed for another year.  But she has been commissioned and sent out to our Parish!!

Many congratulations to St Philip’s Primary School who have been given a ‘Good’ in their recent OFSTED inspection.  Special thanks to Denise who chairs the School Board and Clare who is on the board.  This is the result of a LOT of hard work and sacrificial giving of time and energy (and sometimes tears!).

Ordinations

Over the coming weeks we have 2 important events at Bradford Cathedral

24th June (Tomorrow!) – Ordination of Priests – 3pm.  Emma will be being priested! All are welcome to come to this service at Bradford Cathedral- Just show up!

25th June – This Sunday we will be celebrating a LOT! Celebrating Emma’s first celebration of communion – and celebrating Sharon and Daniel’s ministry among us before they move on.  We will do this with our very first Parish Bring and Share Lunch – please bring something to eat, and something to share if you can!

1st July – Ordination of Deacons – 11am.  Daniel, Sharon and Laity will be being ordained Deacon

This week we’re starting our new sermon series which will take us into the autumn- Proclaiming With… as we explore what God’s people throughout the Bible have said about God and we ask ourselves ‘What have I learned about who God is that I want to tell people about?’

We’re starting by looking at Moses asking God ‘Show me your glory’ at our Parish Communion Service on Sunday, 10:30am at St Paul’s Church.
